While I love my Axe FX, there is no way I could give up having a good ol analog tube amp sitting around.  There are just too many times I don’t want to plug in and power up 5 different pieces of gear, or need 100 different settings.  Sometimes I just want to play!

Amp purists and Dumble collectors beware: you won’t like what you’re about to read.Since the dawn of digital amp simulators, it’s become more and more difficult to tell the difference between guitars recorded through amps versus amp simulators. While there’s nothing like sitting in a room with a 4×12 moving the air around you, many musicians don’t have the luxury of a recording environment where they can turn up to 11 without getting evicted.
