Sea Otter 2008
Monday, April 21st, 2008What a fantastic weekend. I raced the 2008 Sea Otter classic which is the largest race of the year in the area, and is considered a national qualifier event. Most of the big named pros were in attendance to race. As for me I raced the beginner 24-29 catagory. 19 people in my catagory and I am very pleased with my 9th place finish. A top 10 in this event qualifies me for the national championship event in Mt Snow Vermont. However, I will not be traveling accross the country to get my ass stomped in the beginner class.
This race has given me some confidence that I can do well, and I am getting better. I made up time on the more technical sections of this course. The step down towards the bottom was flat out awesome.
